10.2.2019 — The exhibition of the famous American filmmaker, cinematographer and artist Arthur Jafa can now be seen at the Galerie Rudolfinum. It is his first exhibition in the Czech Republic. Arthur Jafa creates images of African-American identity and culture through a broad spectrum of contemporary footage and found images. The exhibition's title, 'A Series of Utterly Improbable, Yet Extraordinary Renditions', refers to the feeling of emptiness that characterizes black life, according to Jafa.

29.5.2019 — The 21st international festival, "Prague Heart of Nations 2019", is the largest joint event for minorities in the Czech Republic, bringing a wealth of traditions from nations around the world. From the 30th of May to the 3rd of June, the festival will symbolically take place in the heart of Europe - the historical centre of Prague. Since 1999, musicians, singers and dancers have come to the Czech capital to perform traditional folk art from their native countries. This year, Prague will welcome a wide range of artists once again.

30.5.2019 — From Friday, the 31st of May to Saturday, the 1st of June, the 16th United Islands of Prague festival will take place at Karlín, a popular location in Prague.

1.2.2019 — Over the course of the year, The City of Prague Museum is preparing a total of six exhibitions. These exhibitions will show Prague past, with interesting historical crafts, as well as present-day Prague, with photographs by a well-known photographer. The museum has permanent displays, such as the archaeological collection in the main building, which is the museum's biggest collection and mostly comes from the museum's archaeological research. Collections of applied art are also valuable, including a high-quality collection of graphics. The most valuable part of this collection is the vedute, which are views of Prague, including its squares, individual street, important buildings, emerging suburbs and natural surroundings outside the city's baroque fortifications. Visitors can also admire these views in Langweil's model of Prague, which contains more than 2,000 buildings on a 1:480 scale, with all the fine details of facades, courtyards, gardens and farm outhouses belonging to buildings. In the case of many demolished historical buildings, Langweil's model of Prague is the only physical record of their appearance.

10.10.2019 — From the 10th to the 13th of October, 18 light installations - 9 from Czech and 9 from aboard - will be displayed as part of the 7th Signal Festival. Discover the routes of these installations leading through 'Malá Strana' (the Lesser Town), 'Staré Město' (the Old Town) and Karlín.

Pražský magistrát se proto letos rozhodl jej znovu finančně podpořit částkou větší než čtvrt milionu korun. Najít řešení problému prostituce v centru Prahy se hlavní město snaží již delší dobu

19.5.2022 — Praha zná vítěze mezinárodní architektonické soutěže na podobu Vltavské filharmonie, je jím tým dánského studia Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) v čele s Bjarkem Ingelsem a Brianem Yangem. Vítězný projekt moderního hudebního centra, které v budoucnu vznikne v pražských Holešovicích, nepracuje pouze s budovou jako takovou, ale přináší i nápaditá řešení veřejného prostoru, počítá se zpřístupněním břehu řeky a otevírá venkovní terasy filharmonie včetně střechy všem bez rozdílu.

9.12.2013 — Pražský primátor Tomáš Hudeček dnes předal Cenu Michala Velíška lidem, kteří při pomoci druhým neváhali nasadit vlastní zdraví nebo dokonce život. Projekt Hrdinové mezi námi se koná letos již po osmé.
