21.7.2020 — The Gallery of Art Critics in Prague is holding an exhibition called 'Czech Calligraphy IROHA / HATAI' (in Czech 'Česká kaligrafie IROHA / HATAI') to celebrate 100 years of diplomatic relations and cultural cooperation between the Czech Republic and Japan.

7.5.2024 — Osvětová kampaň Ne! v přírodě vznikla z potřeby města reagovat na nevhodné chování části návštěvníků pražských lesů a parků. Jedná se o společný projekt fotografa a art direktora Matěje Derecka Harda a odboru Ochrany prostředí Magistrátu hlavního města Prahy. Hlavním cílem kampaně je tedy poukázat na nevhodné chování části návštěvníků v městské přírodě. Na úvod kampaně proběhla výstava s vernisáží na Staroměstské radnici. V roce 2024 kampaň pokračuje formou putovní výstavy postupně na dalších místech v Praze.

22.5.2020 — Prague City Gallery is slowly returning to normal operation after the closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. For example, visitors can admire 'Colorbond', a sculpture exhibition by Jan Kovářík, from mid-May. Troja Château Gardens belong to the most beautiful Baroque gardens in Prague. Art lovers can find many statues, rare decorative terracotta vases, pergolas, a maze and fountains there. Kovářík's sculptures will give the garden's visitors an additional artistic experience during the tourist season.

22.5.2018 — This year's event promises an exceptional program full of musical happenings! The 20th Khamoro Festival will present contemporary and traditional Roma culture during an intensive week full of music, dance, theater and other events from May 27th to June 2nd in Prague.

8.4.2020 — On the 12th of March 2020, the Czech government declared a state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic. The emergency was extended until 30 April.

16.5.2024 — Od čtvrtka 16. května 2024 je v Galerii Ambit na Jungmannově náměstí k vidění výstava těch nejlepších fotografických snímků metropole ze soutěže Praha fotografická.

29.8.2020 — Matter of Art ('Bienále Ve věci umění') with the subtitle Come Closer ('Pojď blíž') is a new event with the ambition of becoming a biennale - an event that takes place every second year. The full programme takes place in the Prague Municipal Library in Mariánské Square until the 15th of November, offering guided tours, workshops, and discussions. Proximity and empathy are the two central motifs of the Matter of Art 2020. One of the main locations is the Municipal Library's exquisite exhibition halls in Prague's Old Town.

6.8.2024 — Tento týden je poslední, kdy je možné navštívit výstavu Group Therapy v Domě U Kamenného zvonu, a Galerie hlavního města Prahy se rozhodla nabídnout návštěvníkům vstup na výstavu zdarma.

19.1.2010 — The Residence of the Mayor of Prague is located in the new building of the Municipal Library, which was built between the years 1925 and 1928 by Prague Municipal Savings Bank as a gift for the capital city on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its existence and also to mark the 10th anniversary of the Czechoslovak Republic.

17.6.2020 — On the 19th of June, the 'RESET: zpátky na scénu' ('RESET: Back on Stage') multimedia show will bring an unprecedented combination of stage elements and special effects to the darkened Křižík's Pavilion B at Prague Exhibition Grounds (Výstaviště Praha). After a long break, the Pyroterra art group will bring the pavilion to life with their spectacular show!

23.9.2024 — Zlatá Praha, mezinárodní festival prezentující nejlepší televizní hudební a taneční pořady a filmy všech žánrů, letos vstupuje do sedmé dekády existence a uskuteční se nově v Obecním domě od 25. do 28. září.

Foreign visitors include individual tourists as well as group tours, school tours and students from abroad, and also guests that the gallery invites when cooperating with foreign institutions and on international projects. The main points of interest for foreign visitors are the architectural and historic Gallery buildings in the heart of the capital and the fascinating exhibitions. However, it is not only Prague City Gallery's exhibitions that make it the most accommodating institution, but also its educational work, and the smooth-running of the gallery.
