28.7.2020 — The internet portal www.vprazejakodoma.cz, which supports tourism in Prague, was launched at the beginning of July. Since then, nearly 600,000 people have visited the web portal, proving the campaign, which aims to reduce the negative economic consequences of coronavirus in tourism, successful.

8.7.2020 — Transformace příspěvkové organizace Pražská informační služba do nové akciové společnosti hlavního města Prahy Prague City Tourism, a.s., byla dokončena. Dne 7. 7. 2020 zahájila Prague City Tourism (PCT) plnohodnotnou činnost jako oficiální organizace destinačního managementu hlavního města Prahy. Společnost povede představenstvo ve složení František Cipro (předseda představenstva), Václav Novotný (místopředseda představenstva) a Jana Adamcová (členka představenstva).

4.9.2013 — V sobotu 7. září Praha zažije jedinečný závod horských kol Prague Downtown. Špičky MTB světa složené z českých i zahraničních jezdců se proženou historickým centrem Prahy a budou bojovat s umělými i přírodními překážkami na trase z Petřína, přes Strahovský klášter až na Pohořelec. Diváci si tak nenechají ujít nezapomenutelný adrenalinový zážitek. Na akci je VSTUP ZDARMA. Nebude chybět ani živý přenos závodu.

20.6.2019 — The French Institute in Prague ('Institut français de Prague') will open its doors to the general public on the 21st of June, the summer solstice.

6.11.2014 — V současné době jedno z nejprestižnějších míst pro organizaci kulturních a společenských událostí, multifunkční hala Forum Karlín, zahájila spolupráci s předním tuzemským orchestrem PKF – Prague Philharmonia (PKF). Forum Karlín se od počátku listopadu stalo domovskou scénou PKF a poskytuje filharmonii prostor pro zkoušky, vzdělávací koncerty pro děti a školy a její další hudební aktivity. Hala zároveň přivítala hudebníky z PKF i na generální zkoušce koncertu „Pocta Jarmile Novotné“ na zámku Liteň, jehož záznam odvysílá 17. listopadu Česká televize.

31.8.2004 — Rada hlavního města Prahy dnes (31.8.) schválila novou Dohodu o pořádání prestižních akcí Prague International Marathon do roku 2007. Pod tímto názvem probíhají každoročně v hlavním městě úspěšná sportovní klání jako jsou Klasický maraton, Juniorský maraton, Rodinný běh a City Běh, Závody na In-line bruslích, ½ maraton a běhy Grand Prix pro muže na 10 km a pro ženy na 5 km. Návrh dohody byl radě předložen z důvodu vypršení platnosti původní dohody mezi Hlavním městem Prahou a společností Prague International Marathon, s.r.o. (PIM)

14.6.2020 — 'Hudební vycházky' (Music Walks) are outdoor classical music concerts which take place in Prague Zoo in front of Gočár's Houses. After fourteen successful years, the event has become a traditional part of summer at the zoo. Not only animal lovers, but also classical music fans, will be at the zoo every Sunday until the beginning of October. The open-air concerts will take place once again in front of Gočár's Houses at the top of the zoo for two hours on Sundays. More and more music lovers seek out the event for its informal setting and quality music.

19.7.2019 — Two new ponds and one revitalized pond serve as recreational spaces for the residents of Prague and contribute to the increase of biodiversity. They are owned by the City of Prague and managed by 'Lesy hlavního města Prahy' (Prague City Forests).

30.7.2019 — From the end of September, a campaign is taking place in the streets of Prague that will focus on the rules and regulations tourists need to follow in the Czech capital. The campaign is organised by Prague City Tourism in cooperation with the Night Mayor Jan Štern. It will focus on the behaviour of tourists in the most problematic parts of the town. Next year, it will be followed up by a long-term campaign that will specifically target tourists, thanks to the results of the STEM / MARK agency's survey on the behaviour of tourists in Prague at night.

25.7.2019 — The historical centre of Prague is hosting the international triathlon Ford Challenge Prague for the third year. This sporting event, which will take place on the 27th of July, is unforgettable for the athletes, as well as for fans and whole families.

21.6.2008 — Coaches connect the Capital City not only with other individual parts of the city but also with the whole of Europe. Regular coach routes travel to all the important locations both within and outside the EU. The most important coach station is Florenc Central Coach Station, located in the very heart of the city.

30.8.2017 — The third of the series of this year's world races RUNCZECH held in Prague is titled Birell Prague Grand Prix 2017 and will start on the Saturday evening of September 9th, in the city center.

9.11.2022 — Po pandemii koronaviru míří do Prahy stále častěji a ve větší míře turisté z tuzemska. V prázdninových měsících a také v září jich do metropole podle údajů Českého statistického úřadu (ČSÚ) přijelo celkem 397 265 a jejich počet se tak oproti létu 2019 zvýšil o celých 32 %. Zahraničních turistů přijelo téměř 1 447 067. Nejpočetnější skupinu tvořili cestovatelé z Německa. V letním období došlo i k dalšímu navýšení počtu turistů ze Spojených států, poměrově se vrátili na předpandemická čísla. Příjezdovost je nově podpořena také turistickou kartou Prague Visitor Pass, té se mezi českými i zahraničními hosty prodalo již několik tisíc.

11.10.2021 — Marketingová digitální kampaň organizace Prague City Tourism a partnerů cílí především na vybrané evropské trhy. Cílem je pozvednout status Prahy jako města, kde i náročnější klientela nalezne to, co hledá. Díky komplexní strategii organizace věří, že kampaň do metropole přiláká bonitnější klientelu než doposud. Kampaň se uskuteční do konce roku. Hlavní město na ni vyčlenilo 40 milionů korun.

18.8.2020 — "In April, together with GoOut, we sold tickets to non-existent shows in order to help to keep our culture alive. And because the time when almost NOTHING cultural happened is, hopefully, behind us, now Prague can experience SOMETHING in the last weekend of September. As an expression of gratitude to supporters and fans, cultural organisations all over Prague are preparing special events and programmes. It will be a celebration of the return and revival of culture and I look forward to seeing theatres and clubs full of fans soon," Hana Třeštíková, Prague Councillor for Culture and Tourism, said.

19.9.2019 — An exhibition dedicated to the 600th anniversary of the birth of the Czech king Wenceslas IV (Václav IV.) is on in the Imperial Stables of Prague Castle until the 3rd of November. It will display the era of his rule, as well as Gothic art and architecture from around 1400 AD.

16.1.2019 — From the 15th to the 20th of January, Prague cinemas present a festival, which introduces some of the best current Iranian films. The festival, simply called 'Írán:ci' (Iranians), features films projected with English subtitles. It opens on the 15th of January at 8pm in the Lucerna cinema, with a dark comedy 'Pig', one of the most successful Iranian movies of the year. The director Mani Haghighi, whose movies 'About Elly' and 'Dragon Arrives!' were successful in previous years of the festival, will introduce the film.

19.2.2024 — Rada hl. m. Prahy schválila poskytnutí 22 milionů korun na zajištění marketingových kampaní na podporu příjezdového cestovního ruchu. Za tyto finance zajistí organizace Prague City Tourism různé kampaně a další navazující propagaci, která si klade za cíl přilákat do metropole turisty nejen ze zahraničí, ale i různých částí České republiky. Dva miliony korun jsou určeny přímo na připomenutí 100. výročí úmrtí Franze Kafky a výročí 200 let od narození Bedřicha Smetany.

7.8.2023 — V pondělí ráno v 8:00 hodin vyvěsili představitelé hlavního města Prahy na budovu Nové radnice duhovou vlajku. Dali tak symbolicky najevo podporu festivalu Prague Pride, který se tento týden koná na různých místech v Praze. V pondělí večer pak zazáří Petřínská rozhledna duhovými barvami.

16.2.2019 — On the 23rd of February 2019, the Czech Republic Guides Association will offer free guided tours to celebrate the International Tourist Guide Day. The International Tourist Guide Day is held annually on the 21st of February since 1985. Because the 21st is a Thursday, tour guides in most places decided to give free guided tours on Friday the 22nd or Saturday the 23rd of February. The event will take place throughout the Czech Republic. In Prague, tourists will have a choice between two guided tours.
